On the 1st of November, the 46th Magazine Day was opened at Yeouido. With the attendance of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, members of the Korean Magazine Organization committee and also CEO of publication companies the event was opened with a guest orchestra playing the ‘arirang’ cantata. Publisher of , and , CEO of Kaya Media Corporation Young Chull Kim received the cultural medal for his service in the development of the Korean magazine industry.
Beginning with the launch of ‘Yeosung Chun Chu’ in October 1992, Young Chull Kim has published numerous magazines including Esquire, , <Marie Claire> and . Young Chull Kim is a successful publisher and has had great influence on the Korean magazine industry. As the vice chairman of the FIPP and consolidator of ‘Kaya School of Magazine’ Young Chull’s Kim’s influence as CEO is not only domestic but has also played an immense role in increasing awareness of the Korean magazine Industry internationally.
